CozyWinter began in 2010 when founder Michael Chen, an avid mountaineer and textile engineer, struggled to find winter gear that combined technical performance with everyday comfort. After a particularly challenging winter expedition in the Canadian Rockies, Michael returned with a mission: to create winter clothing that didn't compromise on warmth, style, or sustainability.
Starting from a small workshop in Toronto, our team spent two years researching materials, testing prototypes in extreme conditions, and developing our signature thermal technology. Our first product line launched in 2012 with just three jackets and two types of thermal socks. The response was overwhelming, confirming our belief that people wanted better winter wear.

CozyWinter founded by Michael Chen in Toronto. Initial focus on technical winter gear for outdoor enthusiasts.
2012
Launch of first product line. Introduction of our patented ThermalCore™ insulation technology.
2015
Expansion into European markets. Opening of our flagship Toronto store at Eaton Centre.
2018
Commitment to 100% sustainable materials. Partnership with ethical wool suppliers in New Zealand.
2023
Launch of Winter 2023 collection featuring recycled materials and expanded size inclusivity.
